Lanzarote puede que tenga uno de los paisajes más peculiares de toda Europa. Oasis con palmeras, paisajes lunares a orillas de la playa, volcanes, es desde luego un lugar de contrastes. Ahora que se acerca la época de vacaciones es el sitio perfecto para una escapadita de tres o cuatro días. Además de disfrutar de la playa, hacer senderismo, montar en camello, rutas en bicicleta, puedes visitar en la zona norte la famosa Cueva de los verdes, y los Jameos del agua, al pie del volcán de La Corona, túneles volcánicos que forman un lago interior de agua transparente. Además de visitar museos, el jardín de cactus, la Cueva de Lagomar, antigua casa de Omar Sharif excavada en una cueva, con piscinas, ahora convertida en discoteca de verano y muchos otros lugares. / Lanzarote (Canary Islands - Spain) may have one of the most unique landscapes in Europe. Mujeres en la conquista y colonización de América / Women in the conquest and colonization of America /

Desde el 21 de mayo y hasta el próximo 30 de septiembre, el Museo Naval de Madrid, tiene una exposición muy interesante "No fuimos solos. Mujeres en la conquista y colonización de América" sobre la participación activa de muchas mujeres en el Nuevo Mundo. 

Desde Isabel I de Castilla (Isabel La Católica) quien creyó en los proyectos de Cristóbal Colón a pesar de las críticas, como Isabel Barreto, primera y única almirante de la Armada, quien lideró en 1595 una expedición por el Pacífico, la navegación más larga por ese océano hasta entonces o Catalina de Erauso que abandonó el convento en España para viajar al Nuevo Mundo y combatir como soldado de infantería en los reinos de Perú y Chile, o Beatriz de la Cueva que fue gobernadora de Guatemala y la primera gobernadora de los virreinatos o Mencía Ortiz quien creó una compañía para el transporte de mercancías a las Indias.

Mujeres valientes y emprendedoras en contra posición al rol femenino de aquella época. Alcobaça, el nombre de esta ciudad es por la unión de dos ríos, se encuentra a unos 20 kilómetros de Batalha y a unos 65 de Fátima. Clausto Románico escondido / Romanesque Cloister hidden

En una finca privada llamada Mas del Vent en Palamós (Girona) han descubierto un claustro románico castellano del siglo XII. Se cree que fue llevado de alguna zona de Burgos a Madrid, y con posterioridad transportado en los años 50 hasta esta finca. Los técnicos de patrimonio están investigando su procedencia. En su informe (Julio 2012) concluyen que se trata de una imitación. En noviembre de 2013 dos equipos de investigación de las universidades de Gerona y Barcelona, han constatado que pertenece al antiguo claustro de la Catedral de Salamanca (España). / In a private country house called Mas del Vent in Palamós (Girona-Spain) have discovered a Castilian Romanesque cloister of the twelfth century.
