Mercadillo Navideño de La Virginia in Marbella / La Virginia Christmas Market in Marbella

Este domingo 4 de diciembre se organiza el famoso mercadillo navideño de la Urbanización La Virginia en Marbella (Málaga - España), ésta urbanización a las afueras de Marbella, es conocida por sus casas pintadas de colores y sus calles empedradas, su ermita y la hospitalidad de sus vecinos. Solamente dos veces al año se organiza este mercadillo. Es un lugar absolutamente hermoso y muy especial. Se pueden comprar todo tipo de artículos navideños, así como golosinas, juguetes, ropa, collares, anillos, pendientes, también hay tapas, bebidas, pasteles y tartas para degustar mientras paseas por allí. También puedes ayudar a la Asociación Amigos de los Gatos, que siempre pone un puesto muy divertido con todo tipo de artículos con dibujos de gatos. Merece la pena acercarse a visitarlo!! / On Sunday December 4th, it is going to organize the famous Christmas market in Urbanisation La Virginia in Marbella (Málaga -Spain), it is located outside of Marbella. This Urbanisation is known for painted houses and its stone paviment streets, its pretty chapel and hospitality of its neighbors. Only twice a year it is organized this market. It is a place absolutely beautiful and very special. You can buy all sorts of Christmas items, as well as candy, toys, clothes, necklaces, rings, earrings, there are typical Spanish tapas, drinks, cakes and pies to enjoy while walking around. You can also help the Association of Friends of Cats, which have always a stall market and puts a lot of funny sorts of items with pictures of cats. It is worth going to visit it!

El Museo de Arte Moderno de Nueva York (MoMA) ha rendido homenaje esta semana a Pedro Almodóvar, por su trayectoria artística internacional. Si recopilamos los galardones que ha recibido: Premio Nacional de Cinematografía (1990) en España, la Orden de Caballero de la Legión de Honor francesa (1997), la Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes en España (1998), dos premios Óscar por sus películas 'Todo sobre mi madre' (1999) y 'Hable con ella' (2002), cinco Premios Goya en España por su película 'Volver' (2006), el Premio Príncipe de Asturias de las Artes en el 2006 y el Premio Terenci Moix en el 2007. También ha sido investido Doctor honoris causa por la Universidad Harvard en junio de 2009. Además de numerosos premios como tres Premios César, cuatro Premios BAFTA, cinco Premios en el Festival de Cannes, dos Premios del Festival de cine de Berlín, Nominaciones y Premios de los Globos de Oro, Premio David de Donatello en Italia, Premio del Festival de Cine de Bogotá, dos Premios Cóndor de Plata en Argentina, Premio de los Críticos Cinematográficos de Chicago, Premio de la Asociación de Críticos de Cine de Los Angeles, Premio del Circulo de Críticos de cine de Nueva York, y algunos más. 

Pedro Almodóvar lleva muchos reconocimientos, pero siempre queda la sensación, que aquí en España no ha sido lo suficientemente valorado culturalmente, como lo ha sido en el extranjero. Puede que no sea más que un tópico, el tiempo dirá. Lo que sí es cierto es que el MoMA de NY no organiza una gala benéfica en honor a cualquiera. Mi respeto a Pedro Almodóvar.
